The St Francis Garden Opening Ceremony

On Monday 30th June we officially opened and dedicated the vegetable and herb garden at Cabra, naming it the St Francis Garden.

St Francis reminds us that all life on this planet is interdependent and connected. His life exemplified the Gospel teachings of compassion and love for all of God’s creation – not just humans, but compassion for animals and plants too. We are reminded that God created all things, and so we have a duty to care for, respect, nurture, show compassion for and protect the animals and plants in our care but not doing them harm, but allowing them to live in peace with us.

Thank you especially to the students and teachers who were involved in the preparation and running of the opening ceremony. Here are some photos from the day:
